Ergonomic manufacturing Group pioneered the manufacture of stainless steel articulating jib cranes. True, there are other companies that make articulating jib cranes. However, none can claim they are using true stainless steel enclosed track and pioneered the use and manufacture of an articulating jib. Why purchase from an imitator? Further more, our stainless steel articulating jibs offer true 360 degree rotation, where as our competitors can only offer 200 degrees of rotation.

Without going into great scientific detail, stainless steel is just regular steel with the addition of Chromium. This additional Chromium is what gives stainless steel its stainless properties. The Chromium also contributes to the non corrosive nature of stainless steel and what makes it the ideal material for use in any food, chemical, pharmaceutical, or general corrosive environment. Ergonomic Manufacturing Group is proud to be the sole North American manufacturer of enclosed track stainless steel cranes in both grade 304 and 316L. This fact, combined with our pioneering design of the articulating jib combine to allow us to present a solution to any corrosive environment where a crane is needed. EMG’s Stainless steel articulating jibs excel where a load needs to be moved in a 360 degree manner and/ or when forty percent or more of the work is done in the inner half of the radius of the jib. EMG’s stainless steel articulating jibs are available in either post mount or wall mounted varieties, with overhead cranes being available in either ceiling mounted varieties. If you need help specifying your stainless steel crane purchase or need any help regarding any material handling problem, please call our experienced sales staff at 1-800-223-6430. Please feel free to also check us out on the web at http://www.ergonomicmfg.com/products/stainless-steel-cranes/.

Ergonomics is simply defined as something that is designed to minimize physical effort and discomfort and thereby maximize efficiency at a reduced effort. The preceding definition is one directly from a dictionary. While being rather dull, it does serve to begin to explain why a company should make the investment to purchase a VacuHoist unit from Ergonomic Manufacturing Group.

Government regulations of the workplace are a fact of life. OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, and a myriad of state agencies make regulatory compliance a nightmare for any business owner or anyone in charge of regulatory compliance for any business, large or small. Worker injuries cost money in lost time and production. In fact, an average workers compensation claim of $20,000 can quickly escalate to $100,000 or more once indirect costs are factored in. Coupled with increased workers efficiency and one can easily see where the one time capital expense of purchasing a VacuHoist unit and/ or an Ergo Sys rail system can quickly generate a significant return on investment. You improve the bottom line of any business that relies on any manual material handling task. You can also improve worker productivity via a Vacuhoist unit, again allowing for an increased bottom line. With the economy currently lagging, doesn’t it make sense to increase the bottom line with a quick and easy purchase of a VacuHoist unit and/or a Ergo Sys rail system from Ergonomic Manufacturing Group? Please visit us on the web at http://www.ergonomicmfg.com/products/vacuhoist/

The term bridge crane is defined by the Material Handling Equipment Dealers Association as a lifting and horizontal movement device mounted on a “bridge” of one or more horizontal girders (bridge girders) which are supported at either end by trucks (end trucks). So why should a company consider an overhead bridge crane as apposed to a jib crane?

Overhead bridge cranes are designed by nature to cover larger distances then jibs. A jib can only be used to pick and place items along the distance of a jib. However an overhead bridge crane manufactured with our Ergo Sys rail can be manufactured in any length, from 2 to 2000 feet. With construction in both grade 304 and 316L stainless steel as well as ordinary steel one can see a bridge crane is able to cover infinitely more length that a standard jib crane and is therefore able to be used in situations where moving a given object a large distance is a priority. The only limit is your plant layout and structural design.

Further benefits of an overhead bridge crane manufactured from an Ergo Sys rail system are numerous. First, by using an enclosed track system the trolleys are protected on three sides from the environment allowing for increased longevity. The additional backbone that can be provided on our bridges allows for increased bridge capacities. If you would like any further information on this or any other Ergonomic Manufacturing Group product, please contact our knowledgeable sales staff at 1-800-223-6430.

When one thinks about lifting objects what is the first thing that comes to mind? One could lift an object manually. That is far from ideal though. Improper body position could result in excessive workers compensation claims. Limits of physical ability can limit where a person could pick from and ultimately place an object. One could use a hoist to lift the object, but then one is left with the numerous erroneous tasks involved with that such as where to put the hoist, how to suspend the hoist, whether to go with electric or air power and more to the point how one can pick up the load. This can be further divided by what, if any, changes need to be made to the product its self in order to be able to lift it via a hoist.

This is where vacuum lifting equipment can excel. First, a properly designed VacuHoist vacuum lifting system will prevent injury and the subsequent workers compensation claims. Further more, with a virtually limitless supply of end effectors and a quick release will allow the operator of any VacuHoist vacuum lifting system to pick up virtually any object as long as its within the given weight capacity of the equipment. Tires, motorcycle engines computers, refrigerators, toilets, if you can think of it, we probably have designed an end effector to lift it or can do so with ease. Furthermore, we can combine your purchase of a VacuHoist unit with an Ergo Sys rail system that will allow you to suspend your Vacuhoist unit virtually anywhere. If you would like more information on a VacuHoist vacuum lifting system or Ergo Sys rail system please call our experienced sales team at 1-800-223-6430 or feel free to visit us on the web at http://www.ergonomicmfg.com/products/vacuhoist/ .

End effectors are a term that comes to the manual material handling industry from the robotic industry. Quite simply, they are the last link on the robot, or where the tool attaches. In the manual material handling world the term is just used to refer to where the tool attaches to the lifting apparatus. There are four general classifications of end effectors. Impactive, ingressive, kontugutive, and the one most germane to us, astrictive are the four main classifications of end effectors. Astrictive end effectors are those that apply suction to the surface of the object being used.

Ergonomic Manufacturing Group manufactures a wide variety of astrictive end effectors. Some of our more interesting examples of end effectors are when we made a custom attachment for a customer who had to be able to lift and place toilet bowls. Ergonomic Manufacturing Group also has manufactured a variety of end effectors designed for drum dumping for numerous customers. Ergonomic Manufacturing Group offers our drum dumpers in either side or top lift configurations and with either air or pneumatic lifting options. Ergonomic manufacturing Group also manufactures and sells end effectors which are suitable for lifting cylinders, lifting sheets made of various material from steel to plywood to plastic, along with pallets and a hook foot for lifting objects without the burden of changing feet, but still using vacuum power along with numerous other applications. If you need an end effecter, or would like any further information on any Ergonomic Manufacturing Group product please feel free to call our experienced sales team at 1-800-223-6430 or email us at info [at] ergonomicmnfg [dot] com or visit us on the web at http://www.ergonomicmfg.com/products/vacuhoist/standard-end-effectors/

Made in the USA. What does it mean you may ask? Well, to some it is a label to just look for. To others it is a sign of pride and general accomplishment. What does that have to do with Ergonomic Manufacturing Group? Well, plenty. Our plant is located in Schwenksville Pennsylvania. Secondly, we buy 99% of our products through vendors located in the Northeast. You could truly say when you buy from us the money goes right back into our community. Some of our competition has decided to shift the production of their sub contractors to China. Yet others are entirely foreign owned entities. They are not creating or maintaining jobs in the United States. The bottom line is this, when you buy from Ergonomic Manufacturing Group, you buy from a proud American owned and based company. When you buy from our competitors American jobs are lost. Do you really want to trust your material handling requirements and significant capital to a company of unknown and un-verified veracity?
